How much are drum lessons in Harrow?
Drum lessons with West London Drum Tutor in Harrow are £30 for a 30-minute lesson, or £50 for an hour. Lessons take place at Oneforty, 140 Vaughan Road, Harrow, and are one-to-one from complete beginner through to diploma level.
Do you teach drum kit grade exams?
Yes. I teach towards Trinity College London, Trinity Rock & Pop, Rockschool, ABRSM, and London College of Music (LCM) drum kit grade exams, from beginner level through to Grade 8. Grades 6–8 carry UCAS points for university applications.
Do I need my own drum kit to start lessons?
No. Lessons take place at Harrow Music Studio, which has a full kit available. You don't need to own a kit to begin lessons, though many students choose to get an electronic or acoustic kit for home practice once they're progressing.
What age can children start drum lessons?
There's no strict minimum age — it depends more on the individual child's size, coordination, and interest than a fixed number. Get in touch to discuss your child's age and we can talk through whether they're ready to start.
How experienced is the drum teacher?
Kasem Chouja has taught drums since 1997 — nearly 30 years' experience — and is a professional performing musician with King With No Throne. He teaches at Harrow Music Studio, part of the 140 Vaughan Road creative complex in West Harrow.
How much does it cost to hire the rehearsal or recording studio?
Solo practice room time is £15/hr. Off-peak rehearsal (Mon–Fri before 3pm) is £20/hr. Peak rehearsal (evenings and weekends) is £25/hr. A 2-hour band rehearsal block is £50, and a 3-hour recording or livestream session is £75.
Can I hire the venue for a private event?
Yes. 140 Vaughan Road includes a 55-capacity licensed events venue alongside the music studio and café-bar. Pricing includes a Bespoke Bar option from £1,200 minimum spend, Peak Dry Hire at £650 (Fri–Sun), Off-Peak Dry Hire at £500 (Mon–Thu), and hourly hire from £75/hr with a 2-hour minimum.
