Maintenance Supervisor

When a processing line stops, the harvest does not wait. This role keeps critical food and agribusiness assets running so plants, farms, and supply operations deliver safe product on time. You will lead a skilled crew, raise equipment reliability, and turn maintenance from a reactive scramble into a disciplined system that protects people, quality, and throughput.

• Raise overall equipment effectiveness by cutting unplanned downtime and repeat failures on priority assets within the first year.
• Build and run a preventive and predictive maintenance program so planned work consistently outpaces breakdown work.
• Lead daily planning, scheduling, and shift handoffs so technicians have parts, permits, and clear priorities before the job starts.
• Coach a multi-craft team to close work orders completely, follow lockout/tagout and food-safety standards, and hit response targets.
• Control maintenance spend against budget by improving parts accuracy, reducing emergency purchases, and justifying capital repairs with data.
• Partner with operations and quality to restore lines safely and release equipment only when it meets sanitation and production standards.
• Investigate significant failures, document root causes, and install corrective actions that prevent the same loss from recurring.

You will supervise maintenance technicians in a 24/7 food and agriculture operation and report to the plant or site maintenance leader. You will have a CMMS, standard work, a parts storeroom, and a defined repair budget. Operations, reliability, safety, and sanitation are daily partners. The setting is hands-on: production floors, utilities, and mobile or process equipment, with expectations for clean documentation and fair, direct leadership.

• Five or more years maintaining industrial, food-processing, agricultural, or heavy process equipment, including at least two years leading people or crews.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting sufficient to set priorities and verify repair quality.
• Proven use of a CMMS to plan work, track downtime, manage parts, and report reliability results.
• Demonstrated command of lockout/tagout, confined space, and food-safety or sanitation practices in a regulated plant.
• Ability to read prints, P&IDs, and OEM manuals and turn findings into clear work instructions.
• A track record of coaching technicians, holding standards, and communicating clearly with operations during upsets.
