Job Title: Associate Attorney - Finance

Location: New York, NY, Hybrid

Salary: $285,000 – $325,000 per annum

Holding an AM 200 ranking and a national platform, our client is looking to deepen its Finance practice and build on its presence in the New York lending market. With a client base of banks, commercial finance companies and investment funds, it offers a genuine chance to take on responsibility early and build a market-facing profile.

The Firm is seeking a 5-7th year finance attorney with a strong background in fund finance, asset-based lending or private bank lending, including securities-based or private stock lending. The ideal candidate is a motivated mid-level associate whose goal is to run deals, with the legal judgment and technical ability to take ownership of transactions from negotiation through to closing.

What you'll be doing

\n
• Advising and representing lenders as counsel on fund finance, asset-based lending and private bank facilities, including securities and private stock lending
\n
• Structuring, negotiating and closing deals for sophisticated New York market counterparties
\n
• Drafting and negotiating credit agreements, security documents and related facility documentation
\n
• Running transactions directly, with meaningful client and counterparty contact
\n

What they need

\n
• JD and admission to the New York Bar (or eligibility to be admitted)
\n
• 5–7 years' substantive law firm experience practicing in fund finance, asset-based lending or private bank lending (such as securities or private stock lending)
\n
• Lender-side experience preferred
\n
• Strong familiarity with the New York market and sophisticated counterparties
\n
• A self-starter mindset, with the confidence and legal judgment to take ownership of deals
\n
